BURNCO is currently looking for an experienced Plant Helper (General Labourer) within the Lacombe region for the production operations of our Northern Alberta Aggregate Division. This is full-time, seasonal position. Applicants must have their own transportation with the ability to work at various gravel pit locations outside the city limits. You should also have the ability to safely work with and around heavy equipment as well as the physical capacity to perform manual labour for extended periods. Flexibility to work overtime and shift work is also required.

What You Will Be Doing

• General maintenance of crushing equipment including regular inspections, preventative care and doing repairs as needed.
• Ensuring the production site remains clean and free from clutter and build-up.
• Working with Quality Control to ensure materials are being produced to required specifications.
• Following and promoting BURNCO's safety program, ensuring all policies are followed.

What We Would Like from You

• Class 5 Drivers License and clean Drivers abstract.
• Good communication skills.
• Production plant experience is considered an asset.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Able to identify, analyze and solve problems.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Record of working safely on various sites and around heavy equipment.
• Flexible to work overtime as well as shift work is required.
• Capable to perform manual physical labour in conditions that may include varying weather and temperature, as well as heavy lifting at times (over 23+ kg to 50+ lbs).

IMPORTANT: As a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that selected candidate successfully pass comprehensive pre-employment testing that includes a Drug and Alcohol screen and Fitness to Work testing. Please note that we have a zero-tolerance policy for any Cannabis derived products regardless of use frequency or purpose.
