About the job
This position reports directly to the Sales Manager and will work closely with the Nova Scotia sales team. The position involves working with the sales of mechanical and plumbing equipment, including boilers, pumps, water heaters, hydronic specialties, glycol and chemicals, convectors and radiation, unit heaters, radiant heaters, burners and venting.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- In-person relationship building with contracting, wholesale and engineering clients.
- Product knowledge required for solution discussions with clients.
- Project site review, data collection, and work with internal sales to build customer solutions.
- Sales and negotiation with clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and customized solutions to meet customers' needs.
- Attend trade shows and other customer events.
- Travel to manufacturer facilities for training events.

Education Requirements
- A graduate of a mechanical engineering or technology program would be an asset. Alternatively, years of experience as a qualified salesperson or tradesperson in the construction, mechanical, and/or HVAC industry may substitute for the education requirements.
- Experience in the mechanical industry in a similar sales role would be an asset.
Work Experience Requirements
- A background in mechanical systems would be considered an asset.
- Previous sales and customer service experience would be considered an asset.
- Related work experience in commercial building systems.
Skills, Abilities, And Other Requirements
- Knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, controls, piping and related equipment.
- Motivated and able to work with deadlines.
- Organization and time management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
