Job description

We are looking for a media buying associate to join our Toronto team. Under the supervision of the media buying Director, you are a negotiator who values the relationship as much as the rate. You will be responsible for executing high-impact campaigns while acting as a true partner to both our clients and the media vendor community.


Your Responsibilities (What You Will Do Daily)
  • Ethical Negotiation: Secure cost-effective delivery across TV, OOH/DOOH, Radio, and CTV without compromising on quality or brand safety. You can also jump into conversations on platforms from time to time, and want to be 360 in media.
  • Partner Collaboration: Treat media vendors as partners, not just "sellers." You'll work to identify innovative opportunities that move the needle for our clients.
  • Fiduciary Stewardship: Act as the client's budget guardian. Manage contracts, actuals, and revisions with 100% accuracy and transparency.
  • Canadian-First Thinking: Prioritize local media opportunities and diverse Canadian perspectives to ensure campaigns resonate in our unique market. You know Vividata and other tools to explore media. You also keep seeking new partners to build a better media ecosystem.
  • Advanced Analytics: Use nLogic and Excel to prove value. You aren't just reporting numbers; you're telling the story of how those dollars drove business results.

  • Experience: 1-3 years of media buying (TV/Radio/CTV) in the Canadian market.
  • Systems: Proficiency in MediaOean, DDS/Prisma, nLogic, and the standard Google and MS Office suite.
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Media, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Mindset: A track record of success driven by critical thinking and a desire to challenge industry assumptions. You have a grasp of how the dollars flow and what great can be.
