Job Description
Core Function:
Distributed Systems Batch and Console Operator
Perform Computer Operation duties per documented processes and procedures. This includes a working knowledge of customer system environment with ability to interact, troubleshoot issues and work independently in a 7/24/365 Environment.
Shift work and ability to be on site is required.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
*Minimum of 2 years' experience, preferably in a Data Center Operations environment.
*Intermediate understanding of Windows, AIX/Unix, and Network monitoring environments
*Knowledge of batch job monitoring & scheduling tools such as ESP, Control-M, CA-7, and TWS/OPC
*Knowledge of Distibuted Systems devices such as, Servers, hubs, routers, switches, gateways, fire walls
*Knowledge of Outlook, ticketing systems (Maximo, Servicenow,Remedy, Cherwell)
*Be familiar with System Monitoring Tools (Viewpt , Netview, Tivoli, Omnibus, etc..) and processes
*Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team environment.
*Strong experience in 1st level problem determination and reporting
*Understand Problem Management & Change Management requirements
*Ability to multitask with a high attention to detail.
*Must be able and willing to learn new tasks/skills as required
*Must be able to communicate and understand verbal, written and electronic instructions in English and French.
* Must have or have ability to obtain L2 Secret clearance

General Office Environment
Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
