ABOUT STÜSSY

Founded in 1980, Stüssy has grown into a global lifestyle brand with over 55 stores worldwide, from New York and LA to Paris, London, Vancouver, Toronto, and Seoul. What started as a scrawled signature logo by founder Shawn Stüssy is now a globally recognized name in streetwear and high-end fashion. Originating in California, the brand continues to expand its clothing line and presence around the world.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We're looking for a Logistics Specialist to help level up our global supply chain. This is an expert-level, hands-on role that supports the Logistics Manager with company-wide freight and logistics operations, ensuring products move between our DCs and stores faster, smarter, and with less friction.

You'll take ownership of the freight quoting process, oversee intercompany shipments, reconcile invoices, and contribute to supply chain strategy. Think of it as equal parts doer and builder, independently managing day-to-day operations while developing tools, processes, and training that will keep the system running smoothly long after you've set it up.

Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills, a solid grasp of international trade regulations, and the ability to deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions. Compliance with import/export legislation is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Execution

  • Coordinate and monitor daily international shipments across air, ocean, and courier modes
  • Review booking confirmations, commercial documents, and routing details for accuracy and compliance
  • Communicate with vendors, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery
  • Track in-transit shipments and proactively flag delays or discrepancies
  • Support customs clearance by providing correct documentation and maintaining data integrity

Performance & Analytics

  • Review carrier performance metrics (service, spend, lead times) and provide actionable insights
  • Maintain KPI reports tracking on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and vendor performance
  • Partner with the Logistics Manager to prepare weekly/monthly performance reporting
  • Analyze spend by lane, carrier, and mode to identify cost optimization opportunities
  • Contribute to freight budget planning and seasonal forecast reviews

Supervisory & Team Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Logistics Coordinators during day-to-day operations, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Support coordinators with shipment escalations, customs queries, and carrier disputes, providing clear guidance and follow-through
  • Monitor workload across the team and redistribute priorities as needed to meet deadlines
  • Identify recurring issues or knowledge gaps within the team and develop training materials or SOPs to address them
  • Foster a positive, accountable team environment where coordinators feel supported and empowered to make decisions
  • Provide feedback to the Logistics Manager on team performance, challenges, and opportunities for development

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance shipment visibility, communication flow, and reporting accuracy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Merchandising, and Finance to align on priorities and timelines

General Administrative Support

  • Organize logistics team files, shared drives, and reporting tools
  • Manage recurring meeting schedules and prepare agendas
  • Draft clear communications for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide reporting support for KPIs tied to projects and transfer shipments

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in freight forwarding, import/export, and customs compliance
  • Experience in vertical retail for the clothing industry is an asset
  • Familiarity with air and ocean transportation, trucking, US Customs, and OGA requirements
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms, customs rules and regulations, and HTS classification codes for clothing and accessories
  • Proficiency in G-Suite and MS Office (Excel intermediate, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Full Circle / NetSuite ERP knowledge is a plus

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3+ years in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain
  • Solid understanding of customs, Incoterms, and intercompany flows
  • Strong with data and comfortable using tools, including AI, to identify trends and outliers
  • Independent and self-directed: able to keep projects moving without step-by-step guidance
  • Calm under pressure with a quick-action mindset when deadlines are tight
  • Able to juggle multiple shipments and priorities without losing sight of the details

WHY JOIN US

At Stüssy, we keep things casual but serious where it counts. This is a place where you can make real decisions, learn from mistakes, and move fast. Managers provide guidance, not micromanagement, you'll have room to grow and prove yourself.

You'll work with like-minded, progressive people in a culture that's fun, ambitious, and always striving forward. What typically takes five years to learn elsewhere, you'll pick up in one or two. You'll build global processes, work across regions, and see firsthand how a worldwide supply chain comes together.
