Mission

Would you like to play a key role in a dynamic HR team? As an HR Technician, you will help ensure the smooth operation of HR and OHS activities by supporting employees, managers, and operations in a unionized manufacturing environment.

You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks: recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, training, health and safety, compliance, and team support. A versatile role for a detail-oriented, organized, and service-oriented individual.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Human Resources :

  • Contribute to a positive employee experience by managing, updating, and ensuring the compliance of HR records with rigor and discretion
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new employees, as well as the preparation of documents related to hiring and personnel changes
  • Handle the administrative follow-up for training, absences, vacations, disciplinary files, and other routine HR activities
  • Respond to requests from employees and managers, compile HR data, and contribute to reports, statistics, and internal communications
  • Ensure compliance with current policies, procedures, agreements, and standards while maintaining confidentiality

Occupational Health and Safety:

  • Manage the administrative follow-up of OHS files, incidents, investigations, action plans, and obligations related to the CNESST.
  • Coordinate training sessions, meetings, records, and mandatory health and safety orientations
  • Support OHS committees, update documents and dashboards, and promote best practices with managers and the HR team

Information Security and Compliance :

  • Monitor audits, access controls, and mandatory training related to information security and CMMC2 requirements

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you will thrive in this role:

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • An associate’s degree in human resources management or a related field, or a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent.
