Job Description
We’re looking for a detail‑oriented HR Administrator to support workforce systems, attendance management, and employee‑facing HR processes. This role will lead the rollout and ongoing support of the ADP mobile app for hourly employees while ensuring accurate attendance and scheduling administration.
Responsibilities
Lead rollout of ADP Mobile App and provide ongoing support to hourly employees.
Ensure successful first‑time login on Mobile App and resolve access issues (24‑hour turnaround).
Partner with IT on system issues and train Shop Stewards.
Monitor App sign‑on failures and provide usage reporting.
Manage absence requests via inbox (48‑hour turnaround).
Enter and approve absences in ADP and promote app usage.
Handle vacation changes, scheduling gaps, and shift corrections.
Support vacation planning and approvals within production limits.
Audit schedules and provide holiday (STAT) support.
Resolve employees missed punches and unreported time.
Partner with supervisors and ensure accurate time entry.
Assist with disability‑related entries and audits.
Qualifications
Experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Workforce Administration.
Familiarity with ADP or similar HRIS systems (strong asset).
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high‑volume, transactional work.
Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally (HR, IT, Operations).
Comfort working in a hands‑on environment with frontline employees.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight turnaround timelines.
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Please note this position requires a full‑time, in‑office presence.
