Transport raw logs, processed lumber, and finished wood products between cutting, processing, storage, and shipping areas. Sort, stack, and organize lumber based on size, grade, and production requirements to support efficient operations. Load and unload incoming shipments with lumber and wood products, by operating heavy equipment Conduct pre-operational inspections of equipment to ensure safe working condition and report defects or malfunctions promptly. Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance. Monitor equipment operation during use and communicate any mechanical issues or safety concerns to supervisors. Follow workplace safety procedures, including safe handling of heavy loads. Maintain basic records of equipment usage, inspections, and completed work as required. Work with team members and supervisors to keep operations running smoothly and meet daily targets.
