The Opportunity:
As a Hazmat Responder you will be joining the Field Operations Team in our Response Division, providing impeccable service to a dynamic group of companies. You will be responsible for you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous materials. You should have a high degree of mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and excellent problem-solving skills. We have a diverse portfolio of projects going on in various locations, you should be flexible to relocate frequently.

Responsibilities: Perform hazardous material spill response and cleanup activities following established protocols and regulations. Safely operate specialized equipment and tools used in hazmat cleanup and containment. Conduct site assessments to determine the nature and extent of hazardous materials present. Implement appropriate containment, mitigation, and disposal procedures to minimize environmental impact. Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination during emergency response situations. Maintain accurate records of materials handled, actions taken, and cleanup processes. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with hazmat regulations and best practices. Assist in the maintenance and calibration of hazmat response equipment. Shop maintenanceQualifications: Valid Driver's Licence Clean Driver's Abstract NFPA 1072 Hazardous Materials Emergency Response -Operations Prior experience in handling hazardous materials, spill response, or related fields is preferred Strong understanding of federal, provincial, and local regulations related to hazardous materials
Compensation: Hourly $30-$35 Overtime LOA
Schedule: Full time Overtime Day Shift Night Shift On Call Weekend Availability Travel Vacation:
