Daman Framing Ltd. is currently looking for a motivated and dedicated Permanent Full Time Framer-Carpenter to join their work team. The ideal candidate must be reliable, experienced, and a team player. Vacancy: 1 Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time Salary: $31.50 per hour Education: Completion of Secondary School Experience: 2-3 years of related work experience Languages: English Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Involves Bending, Kneeling, and Crouching for extended periods, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Heavy lifting, Working outdoors and at height. Personal Suitability: Team Player and Reliable Work Setting: Commercial and Residential Work Locations: Various work locations Responsibilities: 1) Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements 2) Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials 3) Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems 4) Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware 5) Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines,hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments 6) Ability to supervise 3-4 people Skills required: 1) Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction 2) Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.) 3) Ability to read technical documents and drawings 4) Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all time 5) Good knowledge of English, and a Good understanding of basic math 6) Good physical condition and endurance 7) Ability to lift heavy materials, bending, crouching, kneeling and standing for long periods of time.
