A career as an Electronic Foreign Exchange (eFX) Trading Analyst within our FX trading team offers the opportunity to work as a highly motivated algorithmic trader with a strong technical foundation, contributing directly to the development of our electronic trading strategies.

As part of the eFX team, you will collaborate closely with developers and fellow traders to continuously enhance and optimize our trading approaches. In this role, you will also play a key part in building quantitative models and developing advanced analytical tools.

You will primarily be based on our Montreal trading floor, operating in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Your passion for financial markets, strong team orientation, and ability to thrive in dynamic conditions will be essential to your success.

Your Job

  • Contribute to the team's analytical infrastructure development by creating robust and efficient APIs, ETL processes, and visualization tools.
  • Conduct empirical research on topics such as volatility forecasting, interactive correlations, and market impact, translating statistical evidence into actionable solutions.
  • Monitor algorithms and manage operational risks associated with high-frequency automated trading activities.
  • Generate ideas to enhance automated pricing logic and risk management strategies, using both intuition and a statistical approach.
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate proof of concepts into trading algorithms.
  • Work with the sales team to optimize electronic interactions with clients.

Basic Requirements

  • Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, engineering, or computational finance, with 0 to 2 years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for financial markets and macroeconomics.
  • Strong interest in data science with experience in applying quantitative methods to substantial datasets.
  • Solid knowledge of Python, Linux, and general development principles.
  • Ability to conceptualize solutions and implement them.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented individual capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.
