Senior Electrical Construction Site Supervisor – 2–3 Month Contract (Remote Alberta Field Site)

An owner‑side oil & gas operator is seeking a Senior Electrical Construction Site Supervisor to oversee electrical construction and installation activities for a short‑term facilities project at a remote field location in Alberta. This is a 2–3 month contract providing direct field oversight in a live construction environment. Camp accommodations are available near site, and LOA is provided only for individuals who choose not to stay in camp. A truck rate and mobilization compensation are included.

The Senior Electrical Construction Site Supervisor serves as the owner’s representative in the field, ensuring electrical work is executed safely, correctly, and in accordance with IFC drawings, standards, and project procedures. This role requires a seasoned electrical trades professional with strong field leadership, deep installation experience, and the ability to maintain control of safety, quality, and contractor performance in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all electrical construction activities on site, maintaining strong owner‑side presence and field leadership.
• Verify installation quality against IFC drawings, specifications, and project procedures.
• Support safe work execution through permitting, LOTO, hazard assessments, and field‑level supervision.
• Monitor contractor progress, manpower, sequencing, and adherence to schedule expectations.
• Identify and escalate risks related to safety, quality, schedule, or cost.
• Support pre‑commissioning readiness, redlines, checklists, and turnover documentation.
• Coordinate daily with site leadership, operations, engineering, and contractor supervision.
• Provide accurate daily reporting on progress, issues, and field conditions.

Work Conditions & Compensation

• Location: Remote Alberta field site (details provided during screening)
• Camp: Camp accommodations available near site
• LOA: Paid only if not staying in camp
• Truck Rate: Paid for use of personal truck on site
• Mobilization: Paid travel to site at start of assignment
• Contract Term: 2–3 months
• Schedule: Site‑based rotation

Required Background

• Alberta‑certified Journeyman Electrician (mandatory).
• Senior‑level electrical field experience in oil & gas or industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction, installation, and commissioning practices.
• Ability to supervise contractor execution while maintaining owner‑side independence and compliance.
• Experience with MCCs, switchgear, grounding, heat trace, power distribution, and instrumentation wiring.

Preferred Experience

• Instrumentation experience (installation, terminations, loop checks).
• Commissioning experience on facility projects.
• Brownfield tie‑ins and live‑facility work.
• Familiarity with ITPs, checklists, and turnover documentation
