About the Role On behalf of our client, a well-established professional services firm, we are seeking an HR Manager to join their leadership group. This is a hybrid leadership role that serves as a vital coordinator between management and Executive Leadership. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization's human resources by planning and implementing policies, programs, and practices. Additionally, you will play a key strategic role in organizing, coordinating, and tracking operational projects alongside the management group to ensure initiatives are completed efficiently.Key Responsibilities Human Resources & Employee Relations
Recruitment & Staffing: Coordinate the recruitment and selection process to ensure qualified and suitable candidates are hired. This includes market research on wage rates, conducting interviews, wage negotiations, and managing succession planning.
Onboarding & Development: Coordinate the orientation of new hires and ensure appropriate mentoring is provided. Identify training needs and recommend individual or group development in conjunction with IT when necessary.
Performance Management: Administer the organization's Performance Management System, conduct probationary reviews, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure accurate feedback is delivered.
Culture & Environment: Foster a positive working atmosphere where employees enjoy coming to work and develop organization's branding regarding the employment experience.
Employee Relations: Investigate and manage concerns or complaints in a timely fashion, ensuring corrective action is taken regarding any behaviors outside the organization's policies.
Operations & Project Management
Strategic Coordination: Assist the Executive Leadership in managing the business and act as a coordinator for the management group.
Project Leadership: Organize and track projects with other members of the management group, including working on projects that may not primarily fall into the HR category.
Workforce Planning: Assess and recommend staffing levels, temporary staffing, or alternative staffing methods to the management group for approval.
Policy Administration: Maintain and improve the organization's policies and job descriptions, ensuring they are administered fairly and equitably.
Benefits Administration: Answer coverage questions, coordinate renewals, and set up employees with benefits and RRSPs upon probation completion.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: A Human Resources Degree or related experience is required.
Certification: CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) designation is considered an asset.
Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
Strong organizational and administration skills.
Ability to perform statistical analysis and data entry.
Professional presentation and articulate communication style.
