ABOUT THE ROLE Amrize in Saskatoon, SK is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our Construction division. As a Finisher, you will provide support in all areas. You will be responsible for placing and finishing concrete (flatwork and curb & gutter), setting up forms, prepping base course, and being involved in the demolition of existing concrete, WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH Place and finish concrete in flatwork or curb projects Ensure quality of finished work Set forms for grade and design Operate small power tools Prepare base for final grade and compaction Assist in demolition of existing concrete Check work Knowledge in using hand and power finishing tools Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task Be involved in daily safety meetings Possibly operate small equipment (skid steer, mini excavator) Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required Work Experience: Prior experience in a concrete placement would be an asset Additional Requirements: Prior experience in a concrete placement would be an asset Prior work with power tools would be an asset Prior work with mobile equipment would be an asset Safety Oriented Able to lift 50 lbs. Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment Willing to work overtime when needed including Saturdays Able to work unsupervised Able to work well with others Good communication skills Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE").
