Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Client Associate role working directly with the lead advisor and team in downtown Toronto.

This is not an entry-level administrative role. We are looking for someone who can operate independently, manage client relationships, and handle core operational responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

This role is positioned as a high-impact associate role with exposure to both client service and relationship development. Over time, the right candidate is expected to take on increasing responsibility in client engagement and contribute to business growth.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute client trades and investment instructions accurately and efficiently

• Act as a primary contact for clients across calls, emails, and service requests

• Manage client accounts, documentation, and reporting

• Support onboarding, account setup, and compliance requirements

• Assist with suitability reviews and transaction processing

• Contribute to portfolio administration and planning support

• Use technology and AI tools to improve workflow efficiency

• Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and overall business outcomes

Qualifications

Licensing Requirement (Mandatory):

Candidates must meet one of the following at the start of employment:

• Currently RR licensed or ready to licensed under the CSC & CPH pathway

• Completed new CIRO exams (CIRE + RSE)

Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years in financial services, wealth management, banking, or capital markets

• Experience with client accounts, investment products, or portfolio-related work

• Trade execution or brokerage platform experience is strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong understanding of core financial products (ETFs, equities, fixed income, mutual funds; knowledge in structured products and options an asset)

• Working knowledge of KYC, suitability, and CIRO requirements

• Familiarity with registered plans (RRSP, TFSA, RESP, FHSA, RRIF)

• Strong Excel skills; proficiency with digital tools and systems

Technology & AI:

• Demonstrated ability and willingness to adopt AI tools and new technologies to improve efficiency and workflow automation

Communication:

• Clear and professional communication skills

• Ability to handle client interactions with discretion and professionalism

• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability

• Proactive mindset with ability to work independently

• Continuous learner with strong adaptability to new tools and processes

Additional Assets Considered

• Ability to influence client decisions and contribute to the growth of client relationships and overall business outcomes

• Progress toward CFA, CFP, CIM®, CPA, or similar designations

• Insurance background including LLQP

• Additional languages (Cantonese, Mandarin, French, Spanish, Farsi/Persian)
