Restorative Wellness by Footholds Therapy Center is currently seeking Child & Youth Care Workers that are ready to work alongside an amazing team of people that are passionate about seeing our unique kids flourish and have fun learning!Inspired by children and families, Footholds Therapy Center combines clinical judgement with compassion and hope to create a therapeutic environment in which goals are realized. We are a growing locally owned and family run therapy center that has been operating in Nanaimo and the Comox Valley for over ten years.Footholds Youth Care Workers provide support youth with challenging behaviours, high medical needs, autism, and youth at risk. Working in a residential setting, they will follow Footholds Guiding Principles closely, providing social-emotional and physical needs by performing duties such as assisting with personal hygiene, preparing meals and advocating for the child by acting in the best interest.We are looking for aspiring mental health professionals to join an exciting new opportunity. Come join our incredible Restorative Wellness team in an exciting new program as we create a new model of care to positively impact lives.The successful candidate will have an understanding of complex trauma, attachment, addiction, developmental disabilities, and trauma reactive behaviours. Preferred applicants will have SIVA Training, MANDT, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and a diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care, Psychology, or a related field.To work with children in care and as per MCFD's guidelines you must be 19yrs of age or older to apply.Job Type: CasualPay: From $25.00 per hourBenefits:* Extended health careAbility to Commute:* Nanaimo, BC (required)Work Location: In person
