Requirement Summary

• Job Role/Title: Associate Project Manager
• Job Type: Contract Opportunity. Initial contract of 18 months with good possibilities of extensions.
• Potential convert to permanent: Yes, there is potential for conversion (preferring candidates that would be interested in a full-time role).
• Job Location: Toronto, ON / London, ON / Winnipeg, MB
• Work Style: Hybrid Work Setting - 3 days in the office required (Monday & Friday remote work)
• Work Hours: 37.5 hours/week, typically Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Rate Cap: $50-55/Hr. (on Incorp.). The compensation will be negotiated between the contractor and recruiter based on experience and engagement terms.
• Interview: Teams interviews; 2 interviews.

Profile Overview:

• Project Governance & Documentation creates and maintains project charters, plans, and reports, ensuring adherence to standards. Ensures adherence to methodologies, compliance, and quality.
• Financial & Schedule tracking: manages project budgets, monitors time-tracking, and tracks costs-to complete forecasts.
• Risk & Issue Management: identifies risks and assists in tracking and managing project issues.
• Reporting: Develops dashboards, project health reports, and status updates for stakeholders. Understanding the consumers of the information and tailoring the view accordingly
• Administration: assists with setting up and maintaining projects in management tools (Clarity, Confluence).
• Resource management: assists in assigning resources to the project, ensuring time tracking is accurate to estimate the effort.
• Monitoring and reporting: tracks project progress against plan and milestones.
• 2 years with completed Project Management Education and relevant experience OR 2-5 years of a combination of in-progress education and project experience.
• A keen Interest in or actively pursuing related Project Management accreditations (CAPM, PMP) is considered an asset.

Key Skillset for this Role Experience:

• Project Management Knowledge: Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (Clarity, Confluence, PDLC, CIG, Finance)
• Proficiency with Tools & Technology: Clarity, Confluence, Jira, Microsoft tools, PPT, Excel, Word, 365, etc.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze project data and performance metrics to make informed decisions or recommendations on courses of action.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Excels at identifying potential problems before they escalate and devising strategies to address them.
• Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to stakeholders.
• Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in project documentation and reporting.
