Adecco is currently recruiting for a Technician - Electrical and Electronics Engineering for a 1 year on-site contract opportunity. This role is with our public sector client in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Secret Level clearance that will not expire during the contract.Work Location: Ottawa, ONDays of Work: Monday - FridayHours of Work: 8am - 4pmThe Technician - Electrical and Electronics Engineering will have the following responsibilities:

• Provide on-site Audio-Visual (AV) support
• Equipment installations, removals, and moves
• Conference room first- and second-line support
• Live event setup, teardown, and coordination
• Inform supervisor or co-workers of health and safety issues that arise to make them aware of potential dangers
• Observe safety and security measures
• Perform work independently or with team members;
• Track, update, and fulfill service tickets in Assyst;
• Do troubleshooting on AV equipment (portable and fixed);
• Learn hands-on and on-the-job with the help of DIMEUS 3-4 technicians;
• Update trackers using Microsoft Office tools (primarily Excel, Powerpoint, and Word) as required
• Communicate with clients through oral and written mediums (primarily over the phone and email)

The Technician - Electrical and Electronics Engineering must have the following:

• Certificate, diploma, or degree in a specific relevant discipline from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
• Minimum cumulative 2 years' experience troubleshooting, installing, and supporting (first-line support) AV, conference room, and network devices
• Minimum cumulative 2 years' experience interacting with clients, providing system capabilities and limitations, and providing verbal briefs/tutorials at the user level
• Ability to move and lift up to 50lbs throughout the shift without difficulty
• Must be able to bend, twist, crawl or stand for long periods of time without difficulty
• Ability to work under pressure with proper work prioritization for situations including short turnarounds and VIP/VVIP clients
