Position: Java Backend Engineer

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid – 3 days a week WFO)

Type: Full-time

Experience: 10+ years

• Salary: $100,000.00–$120,000.00 per year
• Work Location: On site
• Start as soon as possible

• Java Expertise: 9+ years of hands‑on Java development, specifically J2EE (Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition).
• Microservices and REST API Proficiency: Skilled in developing microservices architectures and REST APIs.
• Database and SQL Skills: Proficient in Oracle Database and complex SQL queries.
• Cloud‑Native and Platform Experience: Familiar with AWS or Azure and deploying cloud‑native applications; experience with PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
• Modern Software Design Principles: Deep understanding of SOLID, DRY, and Single Responsibility principles.
• Broad Technology Stack Experience: Knowledge of NiFi, NATS, Kafka, Zookeeper, Splunk, Redis, Cassandra, and Oracle.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Experience driving end‑to‑end development, code reviews, test strategy, and cross‑functional coordination.
• Performance Optimization: Skilled in code reviews and implementing best practices for efficient, scalable code.
