WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
On some days, you will be in your home office preparing for site inspections or costing and analyzing data related to tangible assets. On other days, you will be on the move, conducting site inspections to gather specifics, measurements, and take photographs of tangible assets which could encompass buildings, furnishing, machinery and/or equipment components. You will get experience across many sectors such as mining, forestry and paper products, food, utilities, metal, education, and health care industry. The position requires approximately 30-40% travel within the region and nationally and may include international travel. Therefore, the successful candidate should reside in close proximity to a major airport.

You have an eagerness to learn and grow in the appraisal industry and contribute to the success of others. You are adept at managing multiple projects with competing deadlines. Your proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and databases are second nature. You hold a valid passport, drivers license, and a reliable vehicle, and youre open to regional, national, and international travel.

YOUR CREDENTIALS

Analyst

• Full proficiency in English (additional language proficiency is an asset);
• Post-secondary education;
• Experience collecting, analyzing and/or costing data is an asset;
• Construction knowledge or Industrial process knowledge is an asset; and
• A combination of education, knowledge and experience will be considered.

Consultant

• Full proficiency in English (additional language proficiency is an asset);
• Post-secondary education;
• Experience collecting, analyzing and/or costing data;
• Understanding building design and ability to read blueprints are assets; and
• A combination of education, knowledge and experience will be considered.

Senior Consultant

• Full proficiency in English (additional language proficiency is an asset);
• Post-secondary education;
• American Society of Appraisal (ASA) professional designation or working towards it (ASA in Machinery & Technical Specialties is an asset);
• Experience with valuation models, asset if in industrial processes;
• Experience in training and mentoring is an asset;
• Relevant project management experience; and
• A combination of education, experience, and designation(s) will be considered.

Director

• Full proficiency in English (additional language proficiency is an asset);
• Post-secondary education;
• American Society of Appraisal (ASA) professional designation is required; ASA in Machinery & Technical Specialties is an asset;
• Experience with valuation models, particularly in industrial processes;
• Experience in training and mentoring;
• Relevant project management experience; and
• A combination of education, experience, and designation(s) will be considered.
