**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials over short or long distances while adhering to all safety regulations. The role requires experience in driving a range of vehicles, from cargo vans to cars, vans, small trucks, and combinations of vehicles and towed vehicles up to 11,000 kg. The ideal candidate will also be able to assist with event setups and tear-downs, and familiarity with power tools is an asset.

**Duties:**

- Safely operate trucks to transport goods and materials to and from specified locations

- Load and unload cargo

- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues

- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules

- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies

- Assist with set up and tear down of events

**Experience:**

- Proven experience as a truck driver

- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly

- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

- No recent moving or driving violations

- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)

**Skills:**

- Commercial driving experience considered an asset

- Experience with event set up and tear down an asset

- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment

- Experience in handling freight

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • Night shift
  • Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

  • Class 1 Licence (required)

Work Location: On the road
