Location: Hybrid (3-Day onsite), within the GTA

Status: Contract/Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively collaborate with senior client business stakeholders to lead the design of Data Governance frameworks, strategy, organizational components, functional competencies, and roadmaps
  • Guide client business stakeholders in operationalizing ownership and stewardship responsibilities and lead the execution of Metadata and Data Quality Management pilot projects
  • Utilize strong facilitation and coaching skills to align business stakeholders and teams, driving organizational alignment and informed decision-making
  • Demonstrate expertise in educating, training, and fostering the learning and development of team members and stakeholders
  • Combine strategic thinking with tactical execution, showing a willingness to engage hands-on to accomplish tasks effectively

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in designing and/or leading the deployment of Data Governance programs, or related functions such as Metadata Management, Data Quality, or Master Data Management
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in Business Studies, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Management. Extensive experience within a Data Management function can be considered as an alternative - MBA is an asset
  • Experience with Metadata Management, Data Quality Management, and Master/Reference Data Management tools is highly desirable
  • Proven track record of leading groups, facilitating discussions, strategizing, negotiating, and resolving conflicts, enabling effective initiatives across all organizational levels, including C-suite and geographically dispersed teams
  • Exceptional presentation, verbal communication, business writing, and visual presentation skills, with expertise in PowerPoint and Word to produce publication-ready materials independently
  • Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills with strong knowledge of change management processes
  • Effective at prioritizing and managing multiple complex initiatives concurrently
