Overview

Are you passionate about delivering meaningful projects that improve community outcomes? Our client is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Project Officer (Level 5) to support the successful delivery of their Asset Investment Program (AIP), including major infrastructure projects that make a real difference to communities across the State.This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high‑impact work, supporting project management, development oversight, contract administration and project coordination across one or more priority initiatives. The Major Projects Branch provides expert advice to Government on program delivery relating to time, cost and risk, and has responsibility for program governance, communications and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and improvement of project management policies, procedures and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks, standards and methodologies across assigned projects.
  • Monitor industry trends and issues relevant to the property and housing sector.
  • Prepare risk, progress and performance reports to support effective project oversight.
  • Track and monitor project outcomes to ensure planned benefits are achieved.
  • Deliver small projects or support components of larger, complex projects in line with approved plans.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, registers, change requests, financial tracking and status reports.
  • Engage, consult and negotiate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements and impacts are well understood.
  • Prepare consolidated reporting for management and represent the Department in meetings, forums and working groups.
