Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer to join our team. This role will support both R&D initiatives and manufacturing engineering activities, providing hands-on involvement in process improvement, product development, and day-to-day technical support. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a dynamic production environment and contribute to projects that drive innovation and efficiency within our plastic card manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the development, testing, and validation of new materials, products, and processes for plastic card manufacturing.
Support R&D projects by preparing test plans, collecting data, and analyzing results.
Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
Participate in process optimization initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Help with equipment setup, process documentation, and operator training when required.
Maintain accurate records of trials, experiments, and engineering changes.
Work cross-functionally with quality, procurement, and production teams to support new product introductions and material qualifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
0–2 years of engineering experience (internship or co-op experience is an asset).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on aptitude with machinery, tools, and production processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to CAD or data analysis tools is an asset.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
