Compensation:

$105 - $140 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Reassess patient situations and provide appropriate follow-up care based on their current needs
  • Work with patients to develop individualized treatment plans with goals and objectives
  • Refer patients and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary
  • Assess patients’ mental condition based on review of medical information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members
  • Provide high-quality psychotherapy to adult clients (primarily in-person; virtual may be available within the clinic structure)
  • Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and maintain records consistent with Ontario standards and your regulatory body
  • Collaborate with Limestone intake/admin systems to support client matching, scheduling flow, and client experience
  • Maintain clear boundaries and session structure (including timekeeping and treatment planning that supports meaningful progress)
  • Engage in consultation/mentorship and team culture activities as appropriate (case consults, clinical learning, community)
  • Practice ethically and within scope; manage risk appropriately and refer out when needed
  • Participate in a clinic culture where directness, warmth, celebration of each other's accomplishments, and accountability coexist
Qualifications:
  • Must have 1-3 years of mental health experience in a clinical setting
  • This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in a field such as counseling or social work; we prefer a master’s degree
  • Additional certifications required: CPR, BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Master’s degree (or higher) in a mental health field (e.g., psychotherapy, counselling psychology, social work, etc)
  • Autonomous registration/licensure in Ontario, permitting the controlled act of psychotherapy (e.g., CRPO, CPBAO, or other applicable Ontario regulatory colleges)
  • CCC alone does not qualify to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy in Ontario
  • Strong clinical experience with anxiety and depression; trauma-competent or actively trauma-committed (EMDR/Brainspotting/CPT/trauma-focused modalities welcome)
  • Comfortable with emotionally intense work and clients who don’t necessarily improve on a tidy timeline
  • Coachable, growth-oriented, and willing to use consultation/mentorship when it improves outcomes
  • Tech-comfortable (email, calendar, PDFs, Janeapp, Slack)
  • Reliable, professional, friendly, good judgment, clear boundaries
  • Able to work in-person in Kingston, ON (evening availability strongly preferred)
  • Preferred: 2+ years post-registration clinical experience (or equivalent depth), but we hire for fit + competence
About Company

Limestone Clinic is a values-driven psychotherapy practice in Kingston, ON, providing thoughtful, evidence-based therapy for adults. We’re known for doing therapy well: ethically, relationally, and with integrity. Our work is grounded in strong clinical thinking, nervous-system–informed approaches, and the OG - human connection.

We believe therapists do their best work when they feel supported, respected, and aren't burning out. That means clear expectations, solid systems, boundaries, and a culture that values accountability, curiosity, honesty, and humour. We take our work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.

At Limestone, you’ll find smart, kind clinicians who care about growth, collaboration, and providing excellent care. We talk things through, support one another, and value being good humans as much as being skilled clinicians.

If you’re looking for a clinic that prioritizes quality care, ethical practice, and a healthy team culture, you'll feel right at home here.
