• Oversee the full payroll cycle for multiple entities for about 400 employees. This will include the review and validation of payroll balances and tax remittances per legislative requirements before processing payments to ensure pay is administered accurately and on time.
• Prepare and audit the bi-weekly journal entries and ensure they are accurately charged to the proper GL accounts and submitted to finance.
• Lead all payroll-related month/year-end accounting accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, and filings including pension adjustments, T4, ROE, WCB/CSST and government remittances.
• Prepare, coordinate, and reconcile the monthly/quarterly/yearly end procedures for T4s.
• Prepare monthly reports for billing relating to intercompany salaries.
• Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of employee data, including new hires, terminations, title changes, salary adjustments, and manager changes, and adhering to all payroll timelines through ADP WorkForce Now and maintaining data integrity.
• Review all mid-pay adjustments and ensure the accuracy of timesheets including overtime hours.
• Administer the Employee Unit Purchase Plan (EUPP), Group RRSP, and Stock Option Plan.
• Act as the first point of contact for all payroll and benefits inquiries.
• Liaison with People & Culture, employees, supervisors, government agencies, and internal and external auditors.

• 3-5 years of full cycle payroll experience in a mid to large scale organization
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related area.
• Completion of Canadian Payroll Association certification (PCP) or higher is a strong asset
• Experience with ADP, proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
