As part of that growth, we’ve got an opening for an Agile Quality Assurance Analyst.

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in the skills outlined below, is a self-learner with a great work ethic, and has a keen interest in maintaining and expanding current products while constantly working to optimize and improve workflows.

This isn’t a large corporation with layers of management bureaucracy and short-term contracts that end before you can do anything meaningful. It’s also not a startup scrambling for cash or forced to pivot on someone’s whim. Our business is established and stable, but still small enough that we can move quickly.

About You

• You’re equally comfortable working with UI testing tools, API endpoints, and directly in a database.
• You’re inherently curious and will turn over every rock to see what’s underneath.
• You’re constantly looking for ways to improve testing efficiency, through both automation and process improvements.
• You may have been described as fussy, uptight, or obsessive, but you recognize that in the world of QA, those are actually compliments.
• You’re comfortable working individually but also recognize the value of team collaboration.

The Position

• Work closely with product owners, software developers, and across departments to clarify project requirements and specifications.
• Execute existing manual tests in support of regular releases and special projects
• Assist in building new manual tests, populating test data
• Build, maintain, and improve the existing automation framework, test harness, and processes.
• Identify, prioritize, and report software defects, utilizing appropriate bug-tracking tools.
• Monitor ticket and bug resolution efforts, track successes, and assist in steering the release.

Our Requirements

• Post-secondary degree in computer science, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of QA experience, including both manual and automated testing, preferably in a SaaS or enterprise environment
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated expertise in manually testing complex application logic.
• Experience automating integration tests for REST / SOAP (Postman, SoapUI), as well as GUI tests (Selenium), in the context of CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with BDD / Cucumber and other test automation best practices
• Experience using Jira plugins like X-ray or Zephyr
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• MUST reside in Canada
