Personal Support Worker (PSW)

We are looking for innovative, ambitious and high energy Personal Support Workers to provide care to our clients in compliance with internal policies and professional standards of practice.

What will you do?

• Assist person(s) with activities of daily living such as feeding, lifts and transfers, bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, and toileting.
• Assist with medication reminders to person(s) in accordance with internal and government policies.
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, washing dishes, and laundry.
• Continuously observe person(s) and their environments, and report and document unsafe conditions and behavioral, physical, and / or cognitive changes to an appropriate supervisor.
• Communicate and demonstrate basic information to person(s) in relation to activities of daily living, light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, in accordance with established Plan of Care.
• Complete and maintain related records and documentation.

What do you need to succeed?

• Personal Support Worker certificate from an accredited program.
• Nursing Student.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• Current CPR certificate HCP level.
• Complete Immunizations record.
• Experience working in a long-term care sector preferred.
• Flexibility in hours and ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Access to a vehicle.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
