WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
ACML is actively seeking a Roaming Building Operator located in Toronto, ON whose main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conduct routine property and site inspections and perform maintenance as required.
- Complete preventive/demand maintenance tasks (chemical treatment maintenance, filter changes, belt replacement, lubrications, cleaning of utility rooms, maintenance of fire prevention systems, testing and inspecting equipment).
- Inspect, operate, maintain and repair boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, generators, uninterruptible power supplies, life safety system, etc.
- Monitor electrical power distribution system and building automation system and respond to alarms expeditiously and methodically.
- Perform minor repairs: replace washers/faucets; clear sinks toilets and drains; replace pumps/motors; reset breakers, etc.
- Ensure maximum energy efficiency, inspect/operate/maintain and repair mechanical/electrical systems and equipment (including boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, generators, life safety system, etc.).
- Ensure all equipment are operated in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable government codes and regulations.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
- Our ideal candidate would have to be comfortable Rotating between facilities weekly.
- Building Environmental Studies, Operating Engineer certification, Engineering Technologist, provincial trade certification of qualification, or related diploma/degree/certification;
- 5-7 years of experience in facilities maintenance & operations, or in trades.
- Demonstrated capabilities re: accountability, judgement, decision-making, problem solving, etc..
- Proven ability to effectively interact with clients, tenants, management and staff.
- Willingness to be available on-call.
