We are Sphere - a growing startup thats looking to expand our operations, and we need you!

Our goal is to make it easier for people to upgrade their cell phones by offering a convenient service for them to get paid for their old device. We want to make the upgrade process easy - by offering a simple solution for people to send in their device, were on the way to getting more back into the pockets of Canadians. People can go on our website, see what their old phone is worth, and we send them what they need to send in their device - we cover the shipping!

Weve reached the point where were looking to grow our operations side to help with the growth that weve seen - this is where you come in!

You’ll be part of a team that takes care of the quality assurance side of a rapidly-growing company. If you’re looking to be a part of Vancouver’s startup scene, this may be what you’ve been looking for! As part of your role here, you will be:

• Testing out devices (computers, smartphones, and tablets) to ensure they pass functionality tests and are ready for resale
• Corresponding with customers that have sent in their devices to us, along with working with team members on progress updates
• Keeping records and details related to shipping and device testing organized in our internal system
• Suggesting and implementing new systems to keep operations and logistics flowing smoothly
• This is a startup - were looking for entrepreneurial spirit! Youd also be a part of helping the company grow with your ideas and strategies

What were looking for:

• An outgoing and creative person who enjoys the fast-paced nature of working in a tech-oriented startup
• A quick learner - the fast-paced nature of a startup means there could be plenty of changes happening
• Having cell phone or computer repair experience is a strong asset but not required

This is expected to be around a 35-40 hours per week commitment with some flexibility around hours, including the option for weekends.

Located right in the heart of Gastown in Downtown Vancouver, this could be that startup job downtown youre looking for!

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.50-$18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
