Remote Description and Requirements In this role you will:

• Lead, design and implement a comprehensive database migration strategy from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
• Develop and utilize tools and processes for data conversion, schema mapping, and optimization.
• Assess and analyze existing database structures and data to plan the conversion process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption to operations.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization. Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and optimize database interactions
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the conversion process.
• Create documentation and provide training and guidance to team members as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies:

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle databases.
• Solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration and SQL programming Proven experience with Oracle to PostgreSQL conversion.
• Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
