About the Role:

The location manager will ensure their respective hub is achieving operational objectives, results, and targets. This role will act as a liaison between HQ in Calgary and the hub to ensure cultural alignment and the implementation of corporate initiatives, processes, and procedures. The location manager will work closely with other managers and leaders in the organization to achieve common goals and execute the vision of the company.

Expected Outcomes:

● Oversee specific operations functions of the hub, and ensure the required outcomes and KPIs of those functions are achieved to within 95%.

● Control purchasing, forecasting, and inventory management. Ensure month to month inventory shrinkage does not exceed 0.5%. Ensure inventory volume does not exceed predetermined financial thresholds.

● Ensure process alignment between operational hubs and functions by working closely with other managers, subject matter experts, and departmental leads within 6 months.

● Develop and implement standard operating procedures and training manuals to the hub’s operational roles as required within 6 months.

● Deliver on Zeno’s culture, core values, vision, mission, and objectives. Foster a positive work environment to ensure employee satisfaction survey results are at or above company targets.

● Lead and manage projects and initiatives that result in 10% YoY savings and 10% YoY efficiency increases.

● Manage the location’s fleet of vehicles such that lease equity is maximized and always remains net positive.

The successful candidate will have the following:

Skills & Abilities:

Technical Proficiency and Knowledge: Able to learn the technical aspects of solar PV sales, installation, operations, and design. Able to use this knowledge to adequately train staff and provide operational support and guidance. Also able to use this knowledge to research new product lines, installation methods, and pricing strategy. Electrical and construction experience is an asset.

Diplomacy: Able to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and develop win-win solutions.

Communication: Able to communicate technically with co-workers in all departments in a respectful, humble, concise, and clear manner. Able to improve communication between hubs and departments.

Leadership: Able to inspire and motivate a team, provide clear direction, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Management: Able to manage performances individually, as well as a department and provide support in professional development of employees. Hiring and firing as required to meet operational goals.

Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies, industry trends, and corporate requirements. Able to take on case by case administrative tasks to ensure the location runs effectively.

Problem-Solving Ability: Aptitude for identifying challenges, developing creative solutions, and implementing strategies to overcome obstacles.

Independence: Able to bring forward ideas, solve problems, and drive solutions without too much reliance on management, while ensuring change does not occur in a vacuum.

Safety: Prioritizes the safety of installers and clients and ensures compliance with the company’s health and safety standards.

Organization: Able to plan and organize effectively and efficiently, while prioritizing tasks that are important and/or urgent.

Openness: Takes constructive criticism well and sets their ego aside to be open to new ideas.

Relationship Management: Able to foster positive relationships within the organization and externally with partners, vendors, and suppliers.

Other Qualifications (Preferred but not required):

● Electrical Construction experience

● Ontario Master’s electrician license (please note this will be used for Zeno’s Electrical Contractor’s License)

● Journeyman Electrician ticket

● Skilled trades certificate for Electrician – Construction and Maintenance (309A) or Electrician – Domestic and Rural (309C)
