Expert Insulation Contracting is a steadily growing, full service Insulation Contractor based in Edmonton. We have been serving residential, industrial, and commercial clients since 2005. We maintain a reputation for top quality installation and service. We are currently seeking a Manager to join our team for 5 days/44 hours per week. Five years of Construction experience intertwined with management experience is a necessity.

Job Overview:

Servicing our clients, the supervisor ultimately will be responsible for the operation of the day to day on site duties with direct support from the Manager and GM. The supervisor supervises 2-6 people within insulation sites within Edmonton as well as managing subcontractors to ensure the scope of work is completed. In addition the Supervisor will provide training to staff while liaising with clients and suppliers. The supervisor will have good interpersonal skills with an emphasis on resolving issues or preventing escalations and conducting inspections to assure quality. This is a unique position that mixes mid - management with frontline client care and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Positive attitude is a must, ability to problem solve, and works well in a team environment
• Able to work with a CRM – Jobber experience would be an asset
• Subcontractor Management
• Participates in the hiring, training, and supervision of employees and their activities
• Ensures that subcontractors are compliant with requirements such as security clearances, GST, business licensing, WCB, liability insurance, etc
• Scheduling – staff/clients
• Customer service
• Safety
• Conducts audits or site inspections to ensure that work is completed as required and completes reports using technology

Client Relations Management:

• Liaises with clients to ensure that performance standards are met and complaints are addressed
• Prevents problems from escalating

Expense Management:

• Ensures that scheduled hours/material are within the job budget
• Oversees or coordinates equipment repairs
• Ensures subcontractor hours are within the budget

Working Conditions:

The supervisor will typically work Monday to Friday, 715AM – 415 PM, 30 minute lunch and breaks. The manager will require flexibility as sometimes interaction with the weekend crew will also be required. Monitoring last minute client changes will require a small amount of on call. Must be fully bondable and be able to obtain CPIC clearance. Rare travel within Alberta is sometimes required but with a large amount of notice. Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving abstract. Must be able to enter attic, tight spaces and crawl spaces.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
