Job Description: As a Virtual Medical Administrative Assitant at Ginger Desk, youll be the backbone of our company’s operations, running the remote front desks of multiple health practices at a time. As an EMR expert, you will support patient communications, bookings, and billings, all in the most secure and confidential way possible. We offer paid internal training through our own 100-hour Ginger University training program where we focus extensively on things like:
- Confidentiality compliance - so you’re aware of how to handle sensitive information and we are PIPEDA (Canada) and HIPAA (US) complaint
- We create experts in EMRs, (Jane being one of them)
- We also teach you how to best support practitioners remotely to optimize their time and generate a return on investment
We also have a large team of VAs across the company which creates an extensive resource network and deepens your practical knowledge, and technical capabilities and adds to our unmatched efficiency. We also prioritize growth by continually investing in our team’s professional development through comprehensive and ongoing training and regular skill assessments. Qualifications:
- Expert-level Jane App knowledge, including booking, tasking, document management, charting, scheduling, secure video, invoicing and reporting.
- Looking for candidates with a minimum 2 years of experience working with Jane.
- Extended Health Billing experience
- Bonus: WorkSafe BC and ICBC experience.
- Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication, active listening, and professionalism.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage calendars, schedules, tasks, and deadlines effectively.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Expert in Jane app software.
- Proficient in Google Workspace. Mastery of Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets.
- Additional proficiency in digital tools such as email management systems, communication platforms, project management platforms, and digital phone systems are a bonus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in proofreading, addressing all concerns in email inquiries, appointment management, and file organization.
- Time Management: Efficient allocation of time to prioritize tasks, Google calendar organization and meeting deadlines.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and environments.
- Professionalism: Demonstrating reliability, integrity, and discretion in all interactions.
- Customer Service Skills: Responsiveness, courtesy, and proactive communication in client interactions.
- Continuous Learning: Committed and willing to be continuously learning. Takes initiative to stay up to date on new technologies and trends in the health industry.
- Data Accuracy: Ability to ensure accuracy and precision in data entry, analysis, and reporting, minimizing errors and inconsistencies.
- Document Formatting: Proficiency in formatting documents, presentations, and spreadsheets with attention to typography, layout, and design consistency, enhancing readability and visual appeal.
Compensation Expectations for the Role
Ginger Desk prioritizes transparent and equitable compensation practices. For the Virtual Administrative Medical Assitant role, particularly for those with substantial experience in Jane software, we offer a competitive salary range of $41,860 to $45,500 annually. This salary range is commensurate with the individual’s current experience level, specialized skills, and demonstrated impact in similar roles.
