POSITION SUMMARY

This position requires a qualified candidate to design mission-critical software applications that will control our systems. This could mean controlling many types of hardware systems such as robots, laser markers, pneumatics systems, motion controllers, PLCs, MES, ERP systems, ECUs on vehicles, and custom electronics that are developed in-house. Youll have the opportunity to work with the latest software tools to push the boundaries of software in a manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze engineering specifications and customer requirements
• Develop software applications in C# that will integrate with external items like PLC, Robot (Universal Robot, Fanuc Robot) and other intelligent devices.
• Troubleshoot and support existing applications in C#
• Travel during systems commissioning and maintenance - Travel is must for this job.
• Communicate with customers for technical information and specifications
• Communicate with technical managers and project team members regarding all aspects of the project
• Assist the builders of the equipment in the resolution of problems to complete the project
• Assist the field service technicians to troubleshoot problems as required
• Prepare documentation including operator manuals, set-up manuals and service manuals
• Participate in the on-call support rotation
• This role is fully in-person. No remote work.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Full stack development.
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
• Working knowledge of C#, a good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
• Experience with software development for PLC control systems will be an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
• A post-secondary diploma or degree in mechanical, mechatronics, computer or electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent with an interest in automation

Salary: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
