Kernaghan Adjusters Ltd. is a well established professional independent insurance adjusting firm with branch offices across Canada. Our Surrey Office is seeking a permanent full-time Dictatypist/Administrative Assistant with a strong team focus, keen sense of urgency, and the ability to excel under pressure.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Transcribing dictations
  • Preparing insurance documents
  • Proofreading and formatting insurance reports and documents
  • Answering phones in a professional manner
  • Assisting adjusters across BC with daily tasks
  • Collecting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, arranging couriers
  • Directing incoming faxes and e-mails

Qualifications:

  • Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm
  • Previous experience as a Dictatypist
  • Intermediate to Advanced working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills and proficiency in English
  • Record management & document handling experience
  • Strong organizational skill and time management skills
  • Proactive, with a strong problem-solving approach
  • Ability to manage confidential information
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced office environment.
  • Although not required, preference will be given to candidates with an insurance background

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
