Operator

We are seeking permanent, full-time (Monday - Friday) Operators to join our team in the manufacturing industry in our Edmonton facility. We are looking to fill this position for the afternoon (3 PM – 11:30 PM),and night shifts (11 PM – 7:30 AM). As an Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery to ensure the interminable running of production.

Responsibilities:

• Adherence to health and safety regulations including required PPE (Eye Protection, Ear Plug and Safety Shoes).
• Inspect, trim, assemble and pack plastic parts.
• Count and record production and scrap.
• Keep record of approved and defective final products.
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or quality problems and inform supervisor.
• Ensure a strong understanding of the machines being utilized.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Clean work area and prepare for next production run
• Comply with all company safety and health rules and guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor including cleaning of different areas of the plant.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Adherence to health and safety regulations including required PPE (Eye Protection, Ear Plug and Safety Shoes)
• Attention to detail and able to follow instructions.
• Proven experience as a machine operator is an asset
• Understanding of production procedures is an asset
• Reliable and willingness to learn and improve.
• Ability to work and communicate well with others.
• Possess a good understanding of English
• Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
