Who we are: Allan Marshall & Associates is a rapidly growing Canadian organization that specializes in personal insolvency and debt solutions. We’re searching for people who foremost value customer service and enjoy helping others, and who are also skilled communicators, results focused, and are self-motivated, working within an inter-provincial Team environment.

We are looking for an individual located ideally in British Columbia or Alberta interested in supporting our growing business in western Canada on a 9am to 9pm PST, 4 on / 4 off, M-Sat shift rotation. If you are outside of BC or AB but are ok with the 9-9 PST shift then consider applying!

The Position Responsibilities:

The perfect candidate will perform a variety of administrative tasks around the planning and delivery of consumer insolvency services including:

Prepare and review all relevant Bankruptcy & Insolvency Act documentation:

  • Statements of Affairs, Court Orders and Affidavits, Trustee’s Reports, Statements of Receipts and Disbursements, etc.
  • Review and enter Proofs of Claim. letters, reports
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Excel workbooks and other correspondence materials
  • Update/maintain electronic and paper filing systems. Send notices to creditors and e-filings to Office of Superintendent of Bankruptcy
  • Proposal withdrawals/revivals and reviewing annulments

Answering and attending to incoming client and stakeholder calls, mail, fax and general office administration including scanning documents and arranging couriers

Manage and coordinate multiple calendars

  • Including scheduling internal and external meetings, appointments.
  • Assist with administering formal insolvency appointments including bankruptcies and proposals
  • Responsible for coordinating creditor meetings

Work collaboratively with other team members and leadership and contribute to the development of innovative ideas and approaches to improve work processes

Deliver respectful and empathetic service to clients

Who you are:

Education

  • Post-secondary education in administration, legal, or
  • Completion of the Insolvency Administration course, and/or Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act Insolvency Counselor course an asset

Experience

  • 2+ years of insolvency industry experience is required

Skills

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and strong business communication skills, written and verbal
  • The ability to multitask and ability to thrive under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical, financial, and mathematical abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Trustworthy and professional

Salary commensurate with experience.
