KDays is Edmonton’s largest summer festival - a 10-day extravaganza of music, rides, food, and adventure. Taking place at the Edmonton EXPO Centre grounds July 19 - 28, 2024. KDays features indoor entertainment and acres of outdoor attractions.
We are looking for employees to work in the days leading up to KDays and all the way through the ten-day extravaganza. All positions are located on the Edmonton EXPO Centre grounds.

To be selected for an on the spot interview for a KDays position you must come to our Job Fair at the Edmonton EXPO Centre on Sunday June 9, 2024 starting at 10 am.

There are limited interview spots available. Come early with your resume in hand. Once all interview spots are filled, the job fair will be closed.

Positions being hired for are listed below with appropriate certificates and licenses required:

Guest Experience Positions (Gate Ticketing, Line Control, Venue Greeter, Box Office Cashier, Ticket Scanner, Parcel Check)

You will:

• Welcome guests, clients, and employees with courtesy, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
• Provide a great first impression of KDays and the Edmonton EXPO Centre
• Maintain knowledge of the venue and KDays grounds and surrounding area
• Provide direction and assistance when required
• Be able to stand for extended periods of time, in varying types of weather
• Perform cashier duties, including receiving cash floats and cash-out reconciliation

Parking Attendant Positions

You will:

• Direct motorist to parking areas or parking spaces, using hand signals or light batons
• Control traffic flow while ensure the safety of guests and vehicles
• Lift, position and remove barricades and signs to open or close parking areas
• Be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time, in varying types of weather

Bartender Positions

You will:

• Serve guests, clients, and employees with courtesy, professionalism, and a positive attitude
• Provide a great first impression of KDays and the Edmonton EXPO Centre
• Sell and serve alcoholic beverages to guests at bar stations
• Maintain a high standard of safety and cleanliness in work area
• Perform cashier duties, including receiving cash floats and cash-out reconciliation
• Be able to transport material up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be 18+
• Have valid ProServe certificate, a ProTect certificate is an asset

Entrance Monitor Positions

You will:

• Welcome guests, clients, and employees with courtesy, professionalism, and a positive attitude
• With the support of Event Security, check bags as guests, clients and employees enter the KDays grounds to assist with mitigation of safety and/or security risks
• Be able to demonstrate your calm and professional presence in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment
• Must be 18+
• ProServe certificate is an asset but is not required

Alcohol Service Monitors Positions

You will:

• Welcome guests, clients, and employees with courtesy, professionalism, and a positive attitude
• Monitor guests and employees to ensure all KDays and venue policies and AGLC regulations are followed
• Document incidents in relation to alcohol service and guest related incidents
• Be able to demonstrate your calm and professional presence while handling stressful situations
• Must be 18+
• Have a valid ProServe certificate, a ProTect certificate is an asset

Event Security Positions

You will:

• Provide general venue security to mitigate and prevent any real or potential security and safety risks to our guests, employees, and facilities
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for guests and employees, actively monitoring and responding to alarms, crowd dynamics, individual behaviour and safety issues, investigating, reporting and documenting incidents, and maintaining accurate and detailed records of safety issues, incidents and events
• Be able to demonstrate your calm and professional presence in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment while handling stressful situations
• Be able to transport material up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time, in varying types of weather
• Must be 18+
• Have a valid SSIA license and valid ProServe and ProTect certificates
