About the Role

Acts as the first point of contact for the School of Engineering Science (ENSC) and provides front line services by responding to inquiries from current and prospective students, faculty, staff, visitors and the general public regarding programs offered by ENSC. Provides diverse administrative and secretarial support for the School, Directors, Chairs, Managers and committees by monitoring and tracking prospective student applications for the programs; coordinating and administering application processes; recommending changes and/or updates to School and University database information systems; conducts preliminary admission and progress reviews; prioritizing applicants to assist with candidate selection process; carrying out the initial review of information received by prospective student applicants; preparing and distributing orientation packages; coordinating information sessions and orientation events; generating statistical information reports; liaising with faculty and staff internal and external to ENSC to keep abreast of any issues, processes or policies that may impact programs; reviewing the ENSC website to ensure that information is current and complete; preparing documentation and coordinating administrative arrangements for book requests course outlines, schedules and evaluations, student exams, thesis defences and oral and depth examinations; coordinating and monitoring the progress and breadth report process and assisting with the degree audit process; scheduling program committee meetings and taking, transcribing and distributing minutes.
