We are a well-established architectural firm of 25+ years with offices in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Florida primarily working in the hospitality, retail, commercial and entertainment sectors. Some of our clients include, Tim Hortons, Lululemon, TJX, McDonalds, LEGO, and Disney!

The Position

We’re looking for a skilled Architectural Project Coordinator (Job Captain) with a Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology. The ideal candidate has experience contributing to and overseeing project delivery across multiple phases of projects. With an ability to work collaboratively with clients, consultants and team members, they have experience navigating through project workflows and injecting their knowledge along the way.

Some of the Things You’ll Work On

• Working closely with the Project Manager and team to understand budget, scope of work and schedule prior to commencement of a project
• Reviewing preliminary design concepts, coordinating, and documenting design development from initial planning and schematic design through construction administration
• Preparing drawings/ documents using AutoCAD/ Revit in accordance with client specifications, budget, applicable building codes, and project timelines.
• Ensuring work adheres to drawing standards and reviewing work of other team members of the same
• Addressing project teams day-to-day questions or issues that may arise while advising the Project Manager of any quality or accuracy concerns
• Attending offsite work, including site visits, meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and municipalities

You’ll Need to Have

• A Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution in Architecture
• 5+ years experience of progressively more responsible roles within Architecture firms, commercial experience preferred
• A strong and demonstrable working knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit
• Leadership skills to lead a successful team
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Have your own vehicle and valid driver’s license
