Position Title: Home Support Worker

Location: Municipalities of Lakeshore, Tecumseh and Essex (which includes Harrow and McGregor)

Hours of Work: Flexible hours to fit your lifestyle. It will begin part time with potential to grow to full time.

The Role:

As a Home Support Worker, youll be an essential part of our clients daily lives, providing assistance with:

  • Light Housekeeping: Keeping living spaces clean and tidy (vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, etc.)
  • Meal Preparation: Assisting with meal prep while maintaining top-notch hygiene standards
  • Laundry: Helping with laundry tasks, including bed-changing
  • Shopping: Supporting clients with their shopping needs
  • Companionship: Offering friendly and engaging companionship to brighten our clients days

Additional Duties:

  • Reporting all concerns to the Program Coordinator immediately
  • Submitting bi-weekly reports on dates and hours worked
  • Developing quality care plans within the scope of our Home Support Program
  • Maintaining open communication with the Program Coordinator, clients, and family members

Requirements:

  • Experience working with and caring for seniors and/or individuals with disabilities
  • Housecleaning experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A caring and compassionate personality
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Own reliable transportation and willingness to travel to multiple locations
  • Applicable certificates or diplomas, proof of insurance (where applicable), and a clean police clearance
