A hydraulic chrome and machine shop is looking for an experienced hard chrome plating technician.
The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of operating and maintaining a hard chrome plating tank, including:
- Inspect and measure parts for plating.
- Prepare parts for plating.
- Build conforming anodes.
- Calculate required parameters and operate tanks.
- Maintain a healthy bath chemistry.
- Polish cylindrical shafts.
- Strictly adhere to Environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean workspace.
- Work closely with other departments and the supervisor to ensure proper scheduling and achieve requested deadlines.
- Read and accurately interpret shop paperwork and provide feedback on issues and changes.
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in hard chrome plating.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Satisfactory level of technical knowledge (Rectifiers, conductivity, anode construction, etc..)
- Having a record of maintaining high quality standards.
- Proficient communication English skills in verbal, reading and writing.
Wages will be based on experience. Other benefits start after 3 months of probation period.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
