2171449 Alberta Ltd is recruiting on behalf of our client, Holiday Inn Edmonton South - Evario Events – The First H4 property with Conferencing and Banqueting facilities in Canada with 126 state of the art rooms, Lobby restaurant & bar, a 20,000 sq ft banqueting and conferencing facilities. We are looking for YOU to join our team.

As a Front desk agent, you will be responsible for checking guests in and out of the hotel, processing room service orders, making copies and issuing keys. We expect you to be a motivated self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. able to work under minimal supervision. Rest assured you’ll have plenty of opportunity to exercise your leadership abilities and quickly learn new skills.

Responsibilities:

• Check in guests, provide directions and answer general questions.
• Check out guests and ensure all accounts are up to date.
• Record incidentals and reimbursements to guests.
• Ensure guests have breakfast requests recorded and fulfilled.
• Create clean copy of daily activity log.
• Hand out room keys to guests upon arrival.
• Answer and direct incoming calls via the switchboard.
• Assist in maintaining security by monitoring the front desk during evening hours.

What we need from you

• Strength – with the occasional lifting of items.
• Ability to follow instructions and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently.
• Fitness – you’ll be on your feet most of the day, and will need to bend and kneel a lot
• Flexibility – day, evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job.

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
