Assignment Description

Enters and updates information into computer programs or databases. Assesses files to determine what information needs to be entered and the appropriate location for entry. Prepares source data for entry by compiling and sorting information and establishes entry priorities. Follows verbal and written instructions. Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures. Works with moderate work direction and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving. Able to manage, train and mentor other office staff, lead projects, handle confidential and sensitive data. Nature of the job is generally creating rather than maintaining and developing rather than monitoring.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Typing, attention to detail, 10-key number entry

Potential tasks (not all related to Data Entry but required for this multi-tasking role):

  • Gather metadata from files within LAN folders to transfer to excel workbook and/or database
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to support decisions made on tasks
  • Update controlled binders and manuals
  • Print and compile updates to controlled binders and manuals
  • Process updates to controlled forms
  • Data entry – enter new requests
  • Support Verification & Validation (V&Vs) on controlled binders, manuals and drawings
  • Follow ups on outstanding drawing and document update requests (TRs and DRFTs)
  • Close drawing and document update requests (TRs and DRFTs) in SharePoint
  • Plot drawings
  • Support Stick filing - update hanging sticks with controlled drawings
  • Reporting – Quarterly Status reports, Process & Instrumentation Drawing (P&ID) Reports
  • Support Process & Instrumentation Drawing (P&ID) distribution
